🖤 Was ist der Drag Slam?
Der Drag Slam Frankfurt ist ein Live-Wettbewerb für Drag-Künstler*innen und orientiert sich am Prinzip bekannter Slam-Formate wie dem Poetry Slam, Comedy Slam oder Song Slam – mit einem entscheidenden Unterschied:
Beim Drag Slam steht Drag als Kunstform im Mittelpunkt.
Während beim Poetry Slam selbstgeschriebene Texte performt werden, ersetzt der Drag Slam das literarische Element durch Drag-Performances in all ihren Facetten. Damit entsteht ein einzigartiges Event, das Wettbewerb, Show und queere Kultur verbindet.
🎭 Das Konzept des Drag Slam
Pro Show treten sechs Drag-Künstler*innen gegeneinander an.
Alle Teilnehmer*innen haben sich zuvor über unsere Website beworben und wurden für die jeweilige Ausgabe ausgewählt.
Was auf der Bühne passiert, ist bewusst offen gehalten:

- Lip Sync
- klassische Travestie
- Live-Gesang
- Comedy & Parodie
- Tanz & Performance
- politische oder experimentelle Drag-Kunst
Es gibt keine stilistischen Vorgaben.
Entscheidend ist allein, ob das Publikum begeistert wird – denn das Publikum ist die Jury.
Nach allen Performances stimmt das Publikum per Live-Voting ab und entscheidet, wer den Drag Slam gewinnt.

Derdie Gewinner*in des Drag Slam erhält:

What is Drag Slam?
Drag Slam Frankfurt is a live drag competition inspired by popular slam formats such as Poetry Slam, Comedy Slam and Song Slam – with one major difference:
Drag is the art form at the center of the competition.
Instead of spoken word poetry, Drag Slam showcases drag performances in all their diversity, creating a unique event that combines competition, performance and queer culture.
🎤 The Drag Slam Concept
Each show features six drag artists, previously selected through an application process on our website.
There are no stylistic limitations. Performances may include:
- Lip sync
- classic drag & travesty
- live singing
- comedy & parody
- dance & performance art
- political or experimental drag
The audience is the jury.
After all performances, the crowd votes live to determine the winner of the evening.
🏆 Prizes
The winner receives:
- 250 € prize money
- a 50 € drag package from GETURLOOK Frankfurt
- a 100 € voucher for a custom wig by Corteswigs by Jazz Cortes
- a nail package by FingerU
- and qualification for the next Drag Slam Allstars
